National Pensions Regulatory Authority

National Pensions Regulatory Authority

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority was established in 2009 to regulate all private and public pension schemes in the country. Drawing its powers from the National Pensions Act 2008 (Act 766), the NPRA regulates and monitors the effective implementation of Ghana’s three-tier pension scheme.

As the sole authority on pension regulations, the NPRA sets standards for Occupational and Provident funds, Personal Pension Schemes, and establishes guidelines for the management of all pension funds.
